Advocin 180 is a broad spectrum antimicrobial fluoroquinolone, active against a wide variety of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, and mycoplasmas of importance in veterinary medicine. Advocin® 180 acts rapidly with bactericidal effect due to inhibition of bacterial DNA-gyrase and is unaffected by mechanisms of bacterial resistance, as occurs with other classes of antimicrobial agents. Advocin® 180 is readily absorbed at application sites and distributed to target tissues at high concentrations.
